The boyz at Big Salty have developed a super-light version of their weather forecasting tool to deliver forecasts not only in the UK but across a growing worldwide portfolio of venues.
So you won’t ever be left wondering if your at the right beach, or if it’s delivering perfect conditions just down the road.
Now you can find out on your mobile, so long as it comes with a browser, and you don’t even need an iPhone!
The mobi site is a cut down version of the main site loading each page in seconds. And unlike accessing a traditional website through your mobile phone browser, the super easy navigation means you can rapidly compare venues and make the perfect choice for the day’s action.
So what are you waiting for? Just add http://bigsalty.mobi to your mobile bookmarks and away you go.
Of course, if you want to plan your water sport action from the comfort of your own home then you get the full suite of services at www.bigsalty.co.uk
And yes as you can see the Boscombe Pier is set up as a favourite spot on the mobile site!
We have seen Billabong go down the collabroation route last month when they signed a deal with Sony to create the Sony VAIO W Billabong Netbook – and what a nice piece of kit that has turned out to be. Billabong also teamed up with the band Green Day to release the Billabong Green Day Mass Hysteria Boardshort .
Not to be outdone, Rip Curl have looked outside of their design team for inspiration. Teaming up with a fresh think trio called “Threebyone” they are due to release a brand new surfers denim collection.
Collaborating over the developement has taken nearly eighteen months to come up with the new jeans collection. And the Threebyone guys are not short of cudos – having been recently appluaded for re-inventing Lee and Wrangler Jeans in Australia.
The trio is made up of Steve Little (he’s the strategist), Richard Bell (he’s the go to market guy), and Par Lundqvist (he’s the denim-freak-Swedish-designer and creative drive).
Billabong and Threebyone have released two collections, one for the ladies and one for the gents.
The re designed mens denim range from Rip Curl is now available in two styles and four colours. Two of the collection also feature a new waxed canvas look – which looks great – especially on a night out.
The Slim Jean Waxed in Black looks very nice, as does the Midnight colour-way. The Stealth, is the waxed-canvas jean whilst the Slim Blue Ice takes on more of a European look.
Whatever design you decide to pick we take our hats off to this collaboration!
